Belarmino Frogozo, MD

Dr. Belarmino T. Frogozo is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and by the American Board of Surgery with Certificates of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, College Of Medicine, Manila, Philippines, in 1973. He then completed his eight (8) years of Surgical education at the Detroit Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Harper-Grace Hospital.
He pursued his interest in Hand Surgery by completing a Fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery with Dr. Joseph L. Posch and Dr. Robert D. Larsen at Harper-Grace Hospital where he was the Administrative Fellow. He then completed his Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan under Dr. Martin C. Robson.
Dr. Frogozo has been in active practice in Terre Haute, Indiana for over 20 years and he is the only full time Plastic Surgeon in the Wabash Valley. Dr. Frogozo keeps up to date in the current trends in Plastic and Hand Surgery by attending national meetings and instructional courses in Plastic and Hand Surgery regularly.
He has gone to several Medical Centers and has done In-Clinic and Hospital observation in Plastic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic Foundation, Rochester, Minnesota, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio and Straith Memorial Hospital and Clinic, Southfield, Michigan. In-Hospital and Clinic observation in Hand Surgery was done at the Hand Surgery Associates of Indiana, Indianapolis and Hand Surgery Associates of Louisville in Kentucky.
Dr. Frogozo has published papers on Plastic Surgery and has been a speaker in Plastic and Hand Surgery to local and statewide medical and civic organizations.
Dr. Frogozo is a caring and compassionate surgeon and has a reputation as a Surgeon who pursues perfection in his work.
In his free time, Dr. Frogozo enjoys playing golf, reading medical and non medical publications and spending quality time with his wife Cora, children Cathy and her husband Patrick, Christine and BJ and grandchildren Caroline, Bryon and Matthew.
